In a #large pot{} of boiling salted water, cook @fettuccine{8%oz} according to package directions until al dente; drain well.

Season @boneless skinless chicken thighs{4}(or leftover cooked chicken, sliced) with @Italian seasoning{1%tbsp}, @kosher salt{}, and @black pepper{} to taste.

Heat @olive oil{1%tbsp} in a #large skillet{} over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook, flipping once, until cooked through and no longer pink, about ~{5-6%minutes} per side. Set aside and keep warm. (Skip searing if using leftover cooked chicken.)

Add @garlic{2%cloves}(minced), @cherry tomatoes{2%cups}(halved), @fresh basil{1%cup}(chiffonade), and optional @crushed red pepper flakes{1/2%tsp} to the skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes begin to burst and soften, about ~{5%minutes}.

Stir in the pasta and @unsalted butter{1/2%cup} over medium heat until the butter is melted and the pasta is well coated, about ~{2%minutes}. Season with @kosher salt{} and @black pepper{} to taste.

Serve immediately, topped with the sliced chicken and @Parmesan cheese{1/4%cup}(freshly grated).
